Destination Flavour Japan – Contact List
I’ve had a lot of requests for contact details for the places I visited travelling around Japan for Destination Flavour Japan, so I thought I’d collect all the links here for easy reference. It’s not a complete list – it’s just the places I could remember off the top of my head, so if there’s anything I’ve missed just leave a comment below and I’ll add it in.
Some of the links are in Japanese but you get the idea.

Thank you
Dear Adam,
Couldn’t watch your Osaka episode on the day, so recorded it and watched it today with my wife, love it. We are going to Osaka early next year and would like to know how we can find your Soda noodle place?
Regards
Greg
Saw your Osaka show last week Adam. Great ! Really enjoyed it. Loved the “B-Grade” food. Looked A-GRADE to me. Will you be going around Japan some more?
Absolutely loving this series.
Will you be posting up the contacts for the previous (and upcoming) episodes as well? I’m most interested in the places you went to in Kyoto as I’m heading there myself in a month!
Hi Adam, I have just returned from Osaka (& tokyo, koyasan, kyoto). While there I was inspired to find the knife-maker Mizuno Tanrenjo that you visited on your Osaka program. I loved seeing the amazing workshop and forge. Meeting the family was a highlight, they are lovely, as an artist myself it is wonderful to see such skills passed on. Thanks for inspiring me to make that journey, it was quite the puzzle with my broken japanese. I left with a blue steel Akitada knife, I feel that I have not only a wonderful knife to use but a work of art that will be treasured in our family (and used) for many many years. Loved your program!
Loved tonight’s show in Osaka. I make Takoyaki ( octopus balls) and
Okinomiyaki for friends and they love it. We have been to Japan 3 times and think it’s. The safest cleanest friendliest country . Love your show.
Love your show Adam.
Hi Adam
Great show.
Have you thought to combine a motorcycle and food tour around Japan. Not something readily available and would be a great cultural and cullinary experience.
Hi, Good idea! I would love to do that and maybe I’ll arrange one in the future.
I hosted a cycling tour around Hokkaido in 2014 which was lots of fun, but motorcycles would be great too.
Hi Adam!
A friend of mine is going to Japan in April and id love him to try the soba noodle challenge you did!
Where abouts is it?
Thank you!
Adam, this is a great series! I enjoyed this series with my family so much! I find that your reviews are honest and places shown is not touristy and you eat off the beaten track. Good job Adam, we hope you and your team will feature more of Japan. It’s a wonderful country and so much to offer. Thank you so much for your passion!
Hi Adam, I would like to have links from episode 9. Thanks a lot for your work, love it.
Hey there
I’m only just watching the DF Japan series now. I don’t watch a lot of cooking shows, but I did want to say how beautifully visual the show is, your commentry is really interesting and the addition of your personal experiences makes the program so accessible. Anyway, I’ll stop waffling, I just wanted to say thank you and well done – albeit a little late, sorry.
Kind regards
Eve

I’d love to know if the salaryman who dreamed of opening a ramen place (in China?) made it? He seemed such a genuine man and was taking such a big risk.
